Why Data Corrections Are Needed
TMDB (The Movie Database) provides excellent international show metadata and air dates, which serve as our default data source. However, in some regions like the UK, shows may be available earlier on streaming platforms than the linear TV air dates shown in TMDB. We manually identify and correct these cases to ensure accuracy.
Our correction system is focused on two regions:
Supported Regions
- International: TMDB already provides international air dates as the default. Corrections are rarely needed unless TMDB data contains clear errors or we want faster updates than TMDB provides.
- GB (United Kingdom): We manually identify shows that air as boxsets on UK streaming platforms earlier than the linear TV release dates shown in TMDB. These corrections ensure UK users see accurate "ready to binge" dates.
How We Ensure Accuracy
All data corrections are manually researched and verified before being applied. We monitor official announcements from broadcasters and streaming platforms to ensure the information we provide is accurate and up-to-date.
International Data Corrections
These corrections are applied globally and are typically made to fix clear errors in TMDB data or to provide faster updates than TMDB offers.

GB (United Kingdom) Data Corrections
These corrections are applied for UK users only, where shows are available as boxsets on streaming platforms earlier than the linear TV release dates from TMDB.
